(ya)"ya" Pronounce this like the German "yes".
(yu)"yu" This one is very close to saying the English word of "you".
(yo)"yo" Think of the childs toy, a yo-yo. Say just the first "yo".

Please note that there are no hiragana for "yi" or "ye".
In Japanese, they are not used and they don't have those pronunciations.

Note: Did you know that Yukatas are short, light kimonos for summer. Kimonos are rarely worn in Japan today because of the influence of Westernization. But Japanese people, especially young women, are beginnning to wear yukatas again, which are casual and yet have traditional beauty.
